Ad-Aware and Ad-Aware Update

*All files can be downloaded from www.tcrose.com/downloads/Ad-Aware.zip or through 
Lavasoft USA (www.lavasoftusa.com/downloads.html)


To Install and Run Ad-Aware:

1.  Unzip the Ad-Aware.Zip compressed folder from wherever
you saved it upon download.  (For a decompressing program go to www.winzip.com)

2.  Open aaw.exe and install to your desired directory.

3.  Open and install refupdate.exe

4.  After installation is complete, open Refupdate

5.  From the dropdown menu choose "ad-aware.net"

6.  Click "connect"  (This will make sure your ad-aware is up to date.
It is good to perform this procedure once-a-week).

7.  Close when finished

8.  Open "Ad-Aware" 

9.  Press "Scan Now"

10.  Allow Ad-Aware to run without disruption

11.  When finished, click "continue"

12.  Carefully examine listed files and check the box next to those those that are
"junk"

13.  Delete those items.

Congrats!  You have completed the process!
